The window chosen for Fiberline Composites' new production factory is a prototype which is specially designed for the factory. The prototype shall demonstrate the possibility of producing extreme narrow window frames of composite profiles.

"The elegant windows have uniquely slender and stylish frames which are translucent, making the windows appear even slimmer", explains Tage Frank Jensen from Fiberline Composites - one of Europe's leading producers of advanced profiles of composite.

"Not only does a slender frame make for a beautiful window, but a larger pane area also means that more light enters the interior. This creates well-being, and the sunlight also contributes positively to the building’s energy balance", says Tage Frank Jensen.

No more thermal bridges
One of the developing aims was to put an end to thermal bridges. Composites are thermally insulating, which means that heat loss is reduced and mould and condensation problems are minimised.

"The window has a very long lifetime even in harsh climatic conditions – and it requires practically no maintenance", says Tage Frank Jensen.

Multi-functional design
From the outside it is impossible to see which of the windows can be opened as they have the same design. This means that opening windows can be sited exactly where required.
