Typical thermal properties for Fiberline GRP profiles

The table below shows typical values obtainable for the thermal properties of Fiberline GRP profiles.

For specific profiles the values may vary.
Thermal properties
0o 90o O Unit Norm
Thermal conductivity

0,25-0,35

W/K•m EN12667
Application temperature
-40 to+80
oC
Coefficient of longitudinal expansion

8-14

16-22

10-6

K-1

ASTM C
177-93

0° = Parallel with the longitudinal fibres of the profile.
90° = Perpendicular to the longitudinal fibres of the profile.
O = Directionally-independent or approximately so.
A special polyester is used for temperatures between 150’C and 180°C.

The thermal insulation properties of Fiberline GRP profiles are superior to conventional building materials. A low coefficient of expansion also means that Fiberline profiles work efficiently with glass and steel.
