Standard bridge concept
The bridge is an example of Fiberline’s standard concept for lightweight bridges
that can be adapted to the individual customer’s specific needs.

Dimensions:

• Total length: 2 x 13,5 m
• Width: 1,5 m
• Weight: 3300 kg
• Load-bearing capacity: 400 kg/m2, and wind and snow loads
• Maximum limit of deflection: L/250

The bridge is built of Fiberline structural profiles and assembled by means of Fiberline acid-proof, stainless steel fittings (EP patent no. 0819200). The bridge deck is made of the Fiberline Plank with anti-slip coating.

The customer made his choice after having assessed and compared the environmental impact of producing a bridge of glass fibre reinforced plastics and a similar construction of steel, stainless steel or aluminium. Environmental concerns resulted in the decision to construct a GRP bridge. Fiberline structural profiles meet the requirements of EN 13 706.
