Demands on tools and machinery

Machining pultruded profiles can be compared to machining wood, and wood-machining equipment can be used. However, due to the abraison resistance of the reinforcement, steel-maching eqipment is recommended. Hard-metal or diamond tools should be used when working with large series.

Pultruded fibre glass reinforced profiles are elastic, and twisting and bending can occur when machining long profiles. Therefore, it is always necessary to ensure fixed, vibration-free support and retention.

If finished profiles are to be used in chemically aggressive environments, it is necessary  to seal all cuts. Please contact us for more information

Window, door & facade profiles

Fibreglass-reinforced plastic is a highly efficient thermal insulator. Thus Fiberline profiles combine a number of qualities that are advantageous in situations requiring thermal insulation.
