Technical data

When using Fiberline structural profiles for bearing structures, typical ultimate strenght and deflection calculations are made. Complete calculations are carried out in accordance with the Fiberline Design Manual which takes the anisotropic properties of the materials into account.

Material parameters
All values listed below are based on measurements carried out in the laboratories of Fiberline Composites A/S, or by independent testing institutes.

Characteristic stiffness figures
and transverse contraction
  [MPa] [--]
Elasticity module E 23.000/28.000
Elasticity module E90° 8.500
Modulus in shear G 3.000
Poisson's ratio v0°,90°   0,23
Poisson's ratio v90°,0°   0,09

The E-modulus of the profiles varies from 23 to 28 GPa, depending on the geometry and reinforcement. See the relevant values in the Fiberline designmanual on the load-bearing capacities of the individual profiles.

The material values listed are valid for temperatures between
-20ºC and 60ºC(dry condition).
