New GRP window offers 52% energy saving

Window manufacturers Pro Tec have developed a new high-insulation product that delivers dramatic energy savings. Equipped with GRP frames from Fiberline, the new window reduces heat loss by more than half compared with modern low-energy units made of conventional materials.

“According to our calculations, the new window will cut the amount of energy used for heating by as much as 52% depending on building architecture and type of glass used. This benefits both the environment and the householder’s economy,” says Bjarne Haulrik, founder and Managing Director of Pro Tec.

“Pro Tec 7 insulates so well that the U-value for the total window structure is as low as 0.76 W/m²K. This puts us way ahead of the tighter new specifications introduced in the Danish building regulations,” says Bjarne Haulrik.
