The UK Highways Agency has installed an award-winning GRP bridge over the M6 motorway in Lancashire.

“GRP composite represents the most significant breakthrough in construction materials since reinforced concrete 100 years ago. Motorists have already benefited from faster bridge installation. And in the future they stand to benefit again in the form of reduced maintenance compared with conventional bridges,” says UK Highways Agency project manager Phil Davies.
